Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha National President Poonam Mahajan (MP, Lok Sabha) today kicked off the #IAmNewIndia Campaign from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Thousands of Young Students were present and she explained to them the thought behind the BHIM App and made them vow to move towards more and more cashless transactions. She also urged them to help other people download and understand the BHIMapp. She was accompanied by BJYM National General Secretary Saurabh Chaudhary, BJYM UP President Subrat Pathak, Ex BJYM National Secretary and newly elected Young BJP MLA from Meerut Dr. Somedra Tomar, BJYM National Legal Committee Incharge Charu Pragya.
Poonam Mahajan emphasised the need of cashless transactions and appealed to the young students to download BHIM App. She repeated the Prime Minsiter Shri Narendra Modi Ji's dream of #IAmNewIndia Campaign. She said, that country is moving forward great leaps and bounds under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. Prime Minister has high hopes from the Youth of the Country. Uttar Pradesh, being the largest state of India has the maximum number of Young Population in the country. This Young Population voted for BJP in the just concluded Assembly Elections and made Young and dynamic Yogi Aditynath Ji as the Chief Minister.
Poonam Mahajan also shared the concept of "Swachhalay" with the young minds. "Swachhalay", supports the UN in achieving the Millennium Development goal of sanitation and the end of open defecation in India. It was started by a young 15 year old boy in Poonam Mahajan's constituency and in just 3 years it spread across all of India. Swachhalay intends to take action by targeting the more vulnerable and poor people to achieve the Sanitation Goal. Poonam Mahajan has supported this movement in optimizing and beautifying the public toilets of Mumbai. She urged the young people to join this cause irrespective of the political affiliation. She praised the nation's young minds taking initiative in helping to spread awareness of this important issue of sanitation that plagues India.
She emphasised that we need to work together as a team, with accountability, to take India to its Golden Era.
